Do Not Submit Libertyville takes place in the private party room of a community pizzeria featuring pies from a wood-fired brick oven. Arrive at 7:15 to sign up for a spot, and when your name is called, you will get 7 minutes on stage to share any story you'd like. (Late arrivals can sign up as long as there are spots still available.
No experience necessary to participate. All ages welcome.
No pressure, judgement, critiques, or scoring.
Drinks and delicious food available all evening.

Yes, we are in a new location! Our move from The Parched Pug was motivated by finding a quieter spot a little more suitable for storytelling, and this new venue has a private room for our event. Parched Pug is so popular it was perpetually packed and filled with the sound of people having fun! We are incredibly grateful to Mark and Heather for giving us a home for the last several months, and we'll be back as patrons to enjoy all of the good times, tasty food, and delicious drinks they offer.

PLEASE NOTE that there is a car show scheduled across the street from the venue during our August date. The map to the right shows where you can find a big public parking lot within minutes walking distance, just in case the street is full. Thanks, and hope to see you! |

About Your Hosts
Tracy Fowler is a retired teacher and a self-proclaimed nerd. Teaching math and science to her students brought great satisfaction. But, what brought the greatest joy was developing students' abilities to express themselves through teaching the writing of personal narratives and poetry. When Tracy retired, she made a commitment to push her own writing skills by trying story storytelling.
Claudia Maru is very happy to be part of Do Not Submit. A vegetarian with a huge affinity for all animals (particularly very tiny chihuahuas), she spent most of her adulthood to this point working for the man in healthcare research. She enjoys all of the outdoors and hopes to be doing a lot more travel in the very near future. And no, Libertyville does not count. Storytelling is an ancient art form that connects us all. She can't wait to hear your story!
