Everyone is welcome to share a story at Do Not Submit, or to simply come listen to the stories of their friends, and neighbors.  Each month, neighborhoods all over the Chicagoland area will host safe, supportive evenings/afternoons full of connection, laughs, and maybe a few tears. There is no experience necessary, and we are free from judgment, scoring, pressure, or critique.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1) Simply show up at the neighborhood venue a half hour before the open mic starts. (Slots will be available throughout the night if space allows, so if you cannot arrive early, you may still have a chance to share).

2) Write your name on the list. Names will be called in order.

3) When your name is called, you get seven minutes on stage to tell/read/recite/improvise any personal story you'd like.
