Wait ... Racine, Wisconsin?! You read that correctly. When former Homewood host Jolanta Butvilas moved north, she discovered her new hometown was full of storytellers needing a place to share. She thought it would be a great idea to bring the open mic to Racine, and we couldn't agree more.
Do Not Submit Racine takes place in a true community hub and gathering place, established in 1946. The list opens at 6:00. Simply sign up for a spot, and when your name is called, you will get 7 minutes on stage to share any story you'd like. (Late arrivals can sign up as long as there are spots still available.)
Venue is 21+
No pressure, no judgment, and no scoring.
No experience necessary to participate, and never a cover charge.
Venue is open at 3:00 PM.
Delicious food and drinks available all evening long.

About Your Hosts
Jolanta Butvilas was born in Lithuania and came to Chicago in 1992. She is happiest when she travels. She loves entertaining, but most of all, storytelling. She lives in Racine, WI.
Alisha Zulke I grew up In a small Rural farm town in Massachusetts, involving many adventures with a small group of friends. I later earned my first degree in Marine Enginneering (UMass). Followed by degrees from Georgia institute of technology and a third degree from university of Michigan. I spent the next 40 yrs as chief engineer for various shipping companies traveling around the world. I retired in 2020 and currently reside in Wisconsin where I enjoy my time with my spouse around our koi pond and outdoor activities
